Brian Ehrlich

Short Term Rental / Airbnb Real Estate Developer

Unendorsed by the Miami Beach Democrats

Mostly funded by a Dark Money PAC with significant donations from real estate developers

Claims he fought Tallahassee – but all he did was write a letter to the editor…

Don’t be Fooled!

Monica Matteo Salinas

City of Miami Beach employee on a leave of absence to run for Commission. Needs to resign her job if elected

Democrat-targeted mailers in support of Monica are being sent from a Florida-registered Political Committee which does not have to disclose donors until January 2026 #shady

She’s using the Prince of Darkness to run her campaign. He’s most famously known for his attempt at a hostile takeover of the Miami Design Preservation League in 2018, after the group opposed the massive 5th and Alton tower.

Received donation from developers and has been unclear on whether she would support developer zoning exceptions

Supported by pro-upzoning SobeSafe – who wants more luxury development on our beach and supports the Washington and Lincoln Road height upzonings

Failed leadership of an affordable housing nonprofit which led to the County taking over its operations. Read about it in the Miami Herald article: click here.

Omar Jimenez

Arrested in 2021 for punching his own father

Has expressed support for SB180, the state law that preempts local zoning decisions on Miami Beach

Received endorsement from Miami Realtors PAC which has supported multiple state preemption bills

Ava Frankel

Luxury realtor and TikTok Influencer who sells McMansions

Uses ChatGPT/AI for her platform positions, but has not disclosed this… However, if you ask her a basic question in person about our city – e.g., where Flamingo Park is – she doesn’t know. We can’t afford a ChatGPT Commissioner for 4 years.

Setting the Record Straight: Protecting Miami Beach’s Neighborhood Voices

Over the last several months, Miami Beach residents and neighborhood associations have been met with a pattern of complaints and sharply worded allegations from recently elected Commissioner David Suarez. These filings and statements—often framed as ethics concerns—have cast a cloud over the work of volunteers who give their free time to improve and protect our neighborhoods.

Stand Up Now for Miami Beach’s Future
